Every year during the holiday season, Pride Lafayette adopts 10 families throughout Tippecanoe County (and north central Indiana) and provides them with a full holiday meal and, as appropriate, gifts for the holiday season (because everyone enjoys a little gift). This year, we rename our Holiday outreach “Christy’s Christmas Carol,” in memory of our late board member, Christy Warrig.

Wearing her signature cat-ears headbands, Christy spread joy and light wherever she went, even as she struggled with her own loneliness during the holidays — an issue many LGBTQ+ people feel after being ostracized by their families. We can think of no better way to honor Christy’s memory than by spreading joy and light during the holiday season and hope you’ll join with us to make this annual drive a record success.
